Privacy
Last updated: 2026-10-07
Santa Please keeps as little as it can. There are no accounts, no emails and no passwords.
What we keep
The first names you type, the wishes on each list (links, typed wishes and notes), and the name a giver types when they pick a gift.
We never ask for a birthday, an email address or a phone number.
Who sees what
Your owner link opens every list you made. Each person’s own link opens only their list. The family link shows the wishes and who is getting what.
Picks never show on the owner link or on a person’s own link. Anyone who has a link can open it, so share links the way you’d share a house key.
On your device
Your browser remembers your links and your giver name so you don’t have to type them again. Clearing this site’s data in your browser forgets them.
How long we keep it
Lists nobody opens for 13 months are deleted on their own, so last year’s lists are still there next season.
You can delete everything any time with “Delete all lists” on your owner page. “New links” makes a person’s old links stop working.
Amazon and other stores
As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. I may also earn a commission when you buy from other stores through these links.
When you follow a link to Amazon, Amazon may set cookies so it knows the purchase came from here. Amazon’s privacy notice covers what happens on its site. Links to other stores work under those stores’ own policies.
Counting visits
We count page visits to see what’s working: the page, never the private part of a link, plus the browser type and a random visit number. We don’t sell anything about you or use it for ads.
Who it’s for
Santa Please is for teens 13 and up and for grown-ups. If you’re under 13, ask a parent to make the list for you.
Where it lives
Lists are stored with Google Firebase, and the site runs on Vercel.
